You want to become a bodybuilder? I am assuming you are here trying to figure out an effective roadmap on how to start bodybuilding. This topic suddenly came to my mind from out of nowhere; as if the thought was put in my head so that it can reach you. Being a Bodybuilder has been one of the best things that has happened to me, and something that came about unexpected & became my whole life.

Bodybuilders are a rare breed. There are not many like us. We are the lions among the sheep. I do not mean that only physically, but mentally. Bodybuilding at the root is all mental. Once you figure that out, you will know how to achieve the physical aspects easier. Luckily for you, we are in the information era and with this article you will know how You Can Start Bodybuilding.

PATIENCE & A PLAN OF ACTION IS THE KEY WHEN BODYBUILDING.

LIKE ANYTHING – BODYBUILDING IS A JOURNEY

The first thing you have to realize is that Bodybuilding is a journey. It will be a journey that you take with you in every step of your life. Bodybuilding has to become your life. I know this may sound a bit extreme but when you’re bodybuilding; you’re either all in, or not at all. That will ensure you are getting the best results. BODYBUILDING STARTS WITH MOTIVATION

In order to start Bodybuilding there has to be a motivation. For each and everyone of us, our motivations may differ, but at the end of the day it’s what helps us get started. Motivation can range from wanting to get better, to a relationship break-up, a career change or following your dreams. Whatever that maybe for you, you will need it.

Remember that I said that Bodybuilding is a journey? In that journey you will have highs & low’s. So when things are going amazing or crap hits the fan – you can always go back to your motivation for self reflection and rebalancing.

So once you have your motivation – now you can start your journey on becoming a bodybuilder.

THE FITNESS CYCLE

The most important thing to know, and be aware of is what I like to call the three stages of bodybuilding. If you are just starting out, you are going to want to know the following so let’s go over them quickly…

  • NUTRITION
  • TRAINING
  • REST

That’s all you need to know in Bodybuilding! If you can master each of those principles/stages you will be maximizing your bodybuilding potential. The cycle is so fragile, that if you are not doing any of those correctly – your gains will suffer tremendously. If you don’t familiarize your self with these key steps & take the time to learn them, then you are sure to fail. Every day is a learning experience in this journey, and as the days go by your knowledge will increase.

STEP ONE: JUST GET STARTED

Okay I know this might not seem like a big step, BUT IT IS. What results will you get if you don’t get started? What if you just dream about becoming a bodybuilder, but don’t take any action? This is actually where a lot of people have issues. They just can’t get started with the journey.

Many people just don’t get started because of fear, or being scared what others will think about them. You may fear the gym & it being a new domain. Maybe you feel overwhelmed with everything the new journey will require.

This is where you have to just tell yourself – I AM GOING TO GET STARTED TODAY. Put aside all your thoughts, worries and concerns and just get started. Even if you have zero experience, who cares? We all started with zero experience. Now it’s your time to go from zero to hero.

STEP TWO : CREATE YOUR PLAN & ROUTINE

The second step when you are starting bodybuilding is to create, plan & schedule your routine. This is important because bodybuilding like I mentioned several times is all bout routine. This routine will make sure you get the most out of everyday and are making progress daily. When creating a routine you need to plan the following :

1.) Plan your Gym Schedule – Try to keep it consistent.

2.) Plan your nutrition & meals – How many times a day will you eat?

3.) Plan your sleep schedule – Rest is the biggest factor when recovering.

There are many factors that can throw this off. That is why it is important to plan and schedule your routine. There’s no such thing as “I don’t have time” – you do have time, you just have to make it a priority. Don’t let your job, your life, your bad habits and most importantly people that don’t support your goals get in the way of becoming a bodybuilder.

STEP THREE: DESIGN YOUR BODYBUILDING WORKOUT PROGRAM

This step is crucial, because there is nothing worse than going to the gym & not knowing what the hell you are going to do. Don’t be that person who goes from machine to machine looking at it like it’s a foreign object. There is a difference between being a beginner & just not being prepared.

If you have knowledge on working out, then create your program from your experiences. When creating a program consider what you enjoy the best, what exercises are less likely to cause injury, and which ones does your body respond the best too.

Back when I started to workout, we barely had youtube. All we really had to rely on was magazines, and just going to the gym to get it done. You have so many different sources nowadays to create a program, that there is no excuse. You have thousands of videos and articles to help you. Research what you know & what you don’t know. If you are unsure – JUST GOOGLE IT. More than likely it will show up how to do it correctly.

Patience Is Key. You have to work at your body’s pace.

BODYBUILDING SHOULD BE CALLED PATIENCE BUILDING

So you got started, created your plan & designed your full workout. I am sure you will be picking up the best bodybuilding supplements to help you reach your goals quicker. You finally drink your pre-workout, go to the gym and smash your first workout. You then take your post workout protein shake. You are following all your meals for the day. Finally you lay down, to get some rest & grow, and after all that – IT’S JUST ONE DAY.

Bodybuilding is unique. You are forcing your body to go pasts it limits. Like I explained on the paragraph above, all that encompasses just one days work. After doing so much just for one day, I am sure there is nothing you want more than to look your BEST instantly.

However – before you begin your journey, I want you to be aware of one thing. Bodybuilding requires extreme patience.

You have no idea how many friends & people I started working out with, and by the second or third week they would quit. Why? because they where putting all that work into, and not seeing visible results. Our body is a complex machine, and it is changing even when you don’t see it. You have to realize this & work in synchrony with your body. You focus on working out, Dieting and Resting and let your body do the rest.

The best advice I can give you on how to start bodybuilding is to just take it day by day. Put effort in the day you are living today. Don’t worry about yesterday, and don’t worry about tomorrow. If you do everything right, you will be living the real Bodybuilding Lifestyle.

SIMPLIFY BODYBUILDING

Honestly…. You jut have to simplify it. I think the steps I shared with you are the most important when you want to start bodybuilding. I shared with you advice on how you will last long in this field, past your “motivation”.

It’s always easy to do something when you first start off, because of the excitement. However in bodybuilding you have to continue way beyond that excitement.

There are many ways to make money in bodybuilding, especially today. The best way is to brand yourself, and use that to expand into different sectors. Don’t assume that becoming a Pro Bodybuilder is going to make you rich. There are always way to make an income, and ideas and tactics that have not been thought about yet.
